The first problem presents strong analogies with Vilfredo Pareto’s methodological approach to the studies of income and wealth distribution; the second is rooted in a conceptual framework elaborated for the first time by Maffeo Pantaleoni in 1901. The paper shows the strong relationship between these two research perspectives in Benini’s thought, which form the core of his Lessons on Political Economy (1936). The paper also examines the role played by Benini in the debate on «corporative economics» in the inter-war period Classification-JEL: B31, C16, D63 Keywords: Rodolfo Benini; distribuzione della ricchezza; posizioni iniziali; economia corporativa; corporativismo (Rodolfo Benini; wealth distribution; starting positions; corporative economics; corprativism) Journal: Il Pensiero Economico Italiano Pages: 105-130 Volume: 16 Issue: 1 Year: 2008 File-URL: https://www.libraweb.net/articoli.php?chiave=200806301&rivista=63 Handle: RePEc:pei:journl:v:16:y:2008:1:7:p:105-130
